http://northstar25.blog.jiaoyou8.com/friends_diary/northstar25/0_0_0/view_01585663_no_0_0.html northstar25 hurried to delete my original response, but that doesn't change anything about this crappy writing. It's low-life and shallow. for instance: 在华尔街这么多年,竟从来没碰到过一个日本人与我做同事。事实上,日本人在美国,情愿为日本银行、日本企业做事,即便拿着低薪,但其国家民族的利益,却在这种忠心耿耿的态度当中得到了极大的发展。 1) That's because 日本人 de English 极 其 terrible. it's too much of a challenge for the majority of them to survive in most common careers in the US, let alone Wall Street. 2) that said, there are plenty of 日本人 in wall street banks. many are in research and trading, some are in senior/head positions, so are many Koreans, (many of them are ABJs). It's true they are not known for working in banking IT department, along side with the book's author. for the reason mentioned above. also because Indians and Chineses dominate IT anyway. Bank's IT department is just bank's IT department. It's a stretch, no matter how you say it, to call IT VPs "Wall Street veteran" 3) With their terrible english, a lot of 日本人 HAVE TO work in japanese bank to feel comfortable. they get lower pay because they could not thrive in positions and firms that pay higher. That is the only reason. to project that as "为国家民族的利益" ???? keep smoking your motherf**king pipe. That's most bizarre and ridiculous! even though the author is only an IT guy, I bet my 2 balls, if he had spent nearly any time near folks living to make f**king dough day in and day out, and he still thinks that way. He does not need to go to any 下一个“华尔街”,, he is hopeless. 翱翔 my ass. I read some chapters of the original book, a lot of writing in it is NOT bad. Some things written are even true. but this book is OBVIOUSLY not written by ONE person. chapters like this one quoted here is clearly different from some other parts of book in writing style and truth in contents. This portion is just filled with very low standard of reasoning, writing and presentation. It's a shame. |
